Nirvana Unplugged

The Nirvana Unplugged record was a record I listened to a lot in my early teenager years. I got to know it by my sister. I also listened to “In Utero” a lot. Both records stay important to me personally for that. Being the 14 year old teenager back then I was just getting into music. It’s also a difficult record for me because I will always be remembered of the dark period I went through.

Listening to this record caused some relief and canalized my emotions. It’s also the record for me that caused the transition to me from having the feeling of being alone to making friends at school at starting to get excited in being social. After that I got into Hardcore and Edge-Metal and I started to get a grip on life and got more self-assured and assertive.

That’s why the record stays hard to consume for me and nowadays, I have hard feelings being reminded. Still I decided to buy a white vinyl copy of it. It’s the 1994 press on color and it’s the USA-pressing. It’s not stereo-typical for the entire delivery of Nirvana because it’s an acoustic recording. But still is one of the most classic Nirvana records, after Nevermind, the definition of Grunge.
