Sheer Terror "Just Can’t Hate Enough" LP

Sheer Terror “Just Can’t Hate Enough” LP reissue just passed on to me by the mail man. A repress of a reissue on Black Out! Records. The record has a very relevant title, that makes me think about certain facts in our Hardcore scene. Unfortunately in many Hardcore scenes there is hatred upon hatred. And there is this illusion that hatred makes you stronger. It’s like the dark side of the Force. I know this feeling also. There is a limit in hate that a person can feel and for sure it’s a mix of several other emotions involved, like anger, fear and so on. It’s a feeling that separates you from the other(s) you feel hate for and that divides us.

The music is groovy New York Hardcore, that draws influences from Metal, New Wave, Punk and other styles of music. Paul Bearer’s voice is that deep and heavy kind, he sings sometimes in grunts and sometimes melodic. There are also three live tracks on it, all recorded at CBGB’s. One is covered from The Cure.

It’s great to have this one in my collection finally. Original copies are hard to find. From what I got there are 500 copies made and all were distributed by Revelation. It sold out quickly and my copy is black vinyl, don’t know if there is a coloured version pressed also? And if yes it those are part of the 500 copies or not? Essential record if you ask me!
